Du-uh-uh-ummmmm

What is it with me? I read all these blogs every day, eager to find a new post about what's going on in someone else's life, and I never remember to come back and post to my own blog.

Or I simply have nothing to say. I need to pick a topic when I have nothing to say.

Like today.

This not having a car thing is starting to wear on me. Not bad after 3 straight weeks of it, right? Right? GET ME OUTTA HERE. NOW.

I just went to the dentist, fortunately drove myself, but had to surrender the car to Hunk O Man who had to meet for lunch at Chick Fil A with his homies. He has promised me that I can have it later, after lunch. So I can go to WalMart, the destination of choice here in our town. Yippee. With my half-numbed face and everything.

I also have to go to Lowe's and buy a ceiling fan which I will then install in Rose's bedroom. I'm slowly making myself go up there and work, but it's difficult. There's always sleeping, and playing games on the computer, buying old patterns on Ebay, etc. Life is hard. Life is a little harder when you're on cold medicine 24/7. Ah, but I digress.

So far I have been able to get some sewing done. A skirt for Bug, two aprons, a purse organizer, and a grocery bag made from old curtains. It was pretty cool and I am very proud of myself for simply taking apart a brown paper grocery bag for a pattern. Like that wasn't the obvious thing to do or anything.

And two days ago, I spent the evening with AGale, who is Bug's best friend. My husband often refers to me as his own personal Dial-A-Geek. Apparently word has gotten out and now the friends of my children are calling me for help. We rid her little laptop of all the monstrous demonic things that had taken possession of it. It actually took that night and most of the next day. But it's all better now.

I also finished up the flooring in the laundry room. And today I plan to give the dog a bath. AFTER I go on my wild ride around town in the car. Hmmm, I may even go to Sonic for a lime freeze.

No camera card, so I can't give you photos of the stuff I've made. Oh well. Maybe I'll just get that when I get out of here and get to Wal Mart. Maybe I'll buy half the store! Maybe I'll just move in -- no, the smarter place to move would be a car dealership, now that I think about it.

One of our car dealership is now offering scooters. No kidding.

Well, silly ramblings need to end. I am very proud and honored to have received an award from The Queen B:

Bless her heart, she and her family have been blessing my socks off! Her mom, BeachyMimi, awarded me with a $100 Amazon gift card! Are these people not fabulous? It is good to be good to others, and the goodness just keeps on going.

Going. I am going somewhere today. I must be going. Gotta get going.

I am glad to hear that you are feeling better. I have to tell you, though, the dog does not look like he's really enjoying his bath. He has that look that I get when I have to wash dishes. He's a cutie though. Did you buy half of Walmart?
